With the presence of the Councilor for Tourism of Sant Llorenç, Colau Bordal; the curator of the exhibition, Esperança Llabrés; the Capdepera Culture technician, Pere Cortada; and the director of the Auditorium sa Màniga, Pere Santandreu, the exhibition From solitude and silence. Jaume Mercant's painting has been inaugurated in Cala Millor.

Jaume Mercant is a self-taught painter, considered one of the most original, interesting and personal landscape painters of the second half of the 20th century in Mallorca. 42 works are on display, owned by private collectors, dating from the 1930s to the 1970s. An excellent and unique opportunity to see the painter's work together.

The exhibition can be visited until 25th March. The opening hours are from Tuesday to Friday, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.; and on Saturdays from 5 to 8 p.m.
