EXHIBITIONS AT THE SA MÀNIGA AUDITORIUM DURING THE 2022-2023 SEASON

There will be three visual arts exhibitions that the Sant Llorenç des Cardassar City Council has prepared for the exhibition hall of the Sa Màniga Auditorium in Cala Millor for the 2022-2023 season (September 2022-June 2023).

The first exhibition will come from the Municipal Fine Arts Fund of Sant Llorenç City Council. This is a selection from the City Council's Art Collection, which can be visited from September 16 to December 30, 2022, and which will be inaugurated on Friday, September 16, 2022, at 8:30 p.m. It will feature important names in contemporary art such as Broto, Jim Bird, Guinovart, RàfolsCasamada, Xavier Grau, José Maria Sicilia, Guillem Nadal, Antón Lamazares or Erwin Bechtold, as well as other Mallorcan artists.

 

The second exhibition can be visited from January 7 to March 25, 2023, and will be inaugurated on Saturday, January 7, 2023, at 6 p.m. The exhibition “From Solitude and Silence. The painting by JaumeMercant” has been produced jointly by the town councils of Capdepera and Sant Llorenç. It vindicates the work of JaumeMercant (Capdepera, 1908 — Palma, 1999), self-taught painter considered one of the most original, interesting and personal landscape painters of the second half of the 20thcentury in Mallorca.

 

To close the season, the winner of the Son Carrió Painting Contest, Malena Vilanova, will present her exhibition “The Sensed Landscape. Work on paper. Watercolor”, which will be inaugurated on Saturday, April 1, 2023 at 7:30 p.m., and which can be visited until June 17, 2023.
