It is the strength of the landscape, the intensity of the light, the wind, the storm, the silence or the noise that inspires each one of the works that are exhibited in the exhibition The Felt Landscape. Work on paper. Watercolor, by Malena Vilanova.
The pigment and the water allow to capture on paper, with immediacy and its maximum expression, the feeling that is awakened from the moment, from nature.
With a watercolor entitled "Horitzó" and painted in 2021, the painter from Pollença, Malena Vilanova, won the first prize of the 32nd edition of the prestigious Son Carrió Painting Contest. The Son Carrió Painting Contest took place for the first time in 1989 and since then such renowned painters as Jorge Azri or Ricard Chiang have been winners in different editions.
Malena Vilanova's work was selected from more than 40 works made with a multitude of pictorial techniques.
